Our Story
Craftsmanship in the Details
Jeff Parke’s work is described in the historical material through two closely related concerns: the accuracy of the finished mouthpiece and the choices that make a configuration individual.
The Maker’s Standard
For a trumpet player, small differences in a mouthpiece are not merely visual details. The rim is a point of contact, the cup is the space immediately beneath the vibrating lips, and the internal passage connects that geometry to the instrument. Their relationship makes careful workmanship relevant to the playing experience.
John Hagstrom’s original endorsement offers a direct account of Parke’s workmanship. His description of the lathe work and the standard for a finished piece provides a more concrete picture of that reputation than a claim of craftsmanship alone.
Jeff Parke represents the very best of what a mouthpiece maker can offer. His lathe work is always perfect, and he simply will not sell you anything that does not meet the highest standards of accuracy.

Room for Individual Choice
Historical Parke materials describe more than a choice of rim diameter and cup depth. They also identify cup contour, rim cushion width and inner-edge roundness, throat size, backbore size and shape, and component structure. Together, these options describe an approach to mouthpiece selection that considers how a player experiences the complete geometry.
The Orchestral family is the focus here. The original endorsements discuss tonal color, resonance, and workmanship as personal experiences, not outcomes that every player should expect. An individual configuration still needs to be considered alongside the trumpet, the demands of the repertoire, and the player’s own response.
